Woah Guaratuba!
Hi everyone. Hope all is well in curitiba, utah, recife, sao paulo, mayland, California, Nevada, idaho, and anywhere else you might be reading this. Things here are great. I'm at a lan house in Guaratuba, Parana...so im gonna make this quick. This weekend was good, camila and i taught the employment workshop in a house that had been converted into a chapel. There was a lack of tables, so we taught the 7 people in attendance on a ping-pong table. People here are afraid of some random airborne disease, so they left the windows open for the whole course...and so mosquitoes came in. I guess mosquitoes still love me here in brazil because by yesterday i had 25 bites on just one leg. Needless to say I am a bit itchy today! Lol....but what can ya do?
The beach here is really pretty, i will put pitcures up tomorrow when im back at the office, we had a good time being crazy and fazendo bagunça when we werent teaching. Today we went to the beach for a bit, and then swam in the pool, and then after that i took a tiny nap by in a pool chair. Good times! The "resort" that we were supposed to be at was like more of a motel, but thats okay...its less money the church has to pay for us!
Sunday we went to church at the branch again, and since it was fast and testimony meeting, I decided to bear my testimony. It went well, but I'm still trying to learn all the gospel vocabulary so it probably sounded pretty little kid. And during sunday school I said the closing prayer for the class...Im defenetly feeling more confient with the language here. But, I really did have a good time with the members of the branch and the people that came out to our course, they were a fun group to teach.
This week we are helping out with the workshop being taught in the afternoon and teaching the executive workshop at night. The director of the welfare department at temple square is comming to that class, as well as the area athority for the welfare department in brazil....wish me luck! I hope things go okay with them being in the class while I teach, sometimes that can be pretty nerveracking.
Well, I should probably go, but i hope everyone has a good week, I sure am going to try down here!
